Discover Revelstoke’s natural beauty with our half-day guided hike. Depending on the trail chosen, this trip will run between 3 and 4 hours in total - more depending on driving time to the trailhead.
Plan Your Perfect Hike
After you request to book, we can chat about your goals and expectations for the day and make a plan together.
What’s Included
Your experience includes an ACMG-certified Hiking Guide who will lead you through breathtaking mountain landscapes. You’ll enjoy a 3-4 hour guided hike at a comfortable pace, with plenty of time for breaks. A gourmet lunch, curated by a local café, is included, so there’s no need to bring your own meal.
What’s Not Included
Personal hiking gear, water and snacks, and transportation to the trailhead are not included in the package. You’ll need to bring your own essentials to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable day on the trail. After you make your booking, we will discuss trail options and coordinate a meeting time at the trailhead.
Recommended Personal Hiking Gear
To make the most of your hike, we recommend bringing a backpack (20-30 liters), close-toed hiking boots or shoes, and sun protection, including sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm, and a hat. A headlamp with spare batteries, a 1-litre water bottle, extra snacks, and personal hygiene items such as toilet paper, female hygiene products, and hand sanitizer are also essential. Hiking poles can be useful, especially on uneven terrain.
Safety Equipment
For your safety, all Hike Revelstoke Guides carry essential equipment, including a first aid kit, an emergency communication device (Garmin InReach), and a VHF radio equipped with local radio frequencies. We also have access to guest emergency contact information, bear safety gear (bear spray and a bear horn), an equipment repair kit, water filtration tablets, and a headlamp with spare batteries.
Recommended Clothing
Dressing appropriately for the weather is key to an enjoyable hike. Weather in the mountains is unpredictable, and it is best to always be prepared. A t-shirt or long-sleeve shirt, hiking pants, and a waterproof jacket will keep you comfortable throughout the day. Additionally, bringing a warm layer—such as an insulated jacket or fleece—and light gloves can help in case temperatures drop.
Booking Your Trip
Please note that your credit card will not be charged at the time of booking. First, you’ll select your dates, provide some basic information, and enter your payment details. After that, we’ll reach out to you by email to plan your hike together. We’ll discuss what you’re looking for, whether it’s a challenging trek, wildflower spotting, alpine lakes, or scenic viewpoints. Once we’ve settled on a plan that suits you, we’ll process your payment. This way, you don’t have to commit to payment until everything is set!
