Snowshoe & Sauna in Revelstoke

Experience the magic of winter in Revelstoke with a guided snowshoe adventure followed by a relaxing outdoor sauna session hosted in partnership with Selkirk Saunas. Your snowshoe tour will take you along peaceful, snow-covered trails before ending with access to a warm, wood-fired mobile sauna. No snowshoeing experience is required. You will learn proper snowshoeing techniques so that you can enjoy the outing comfortably and confidently.

What’s Included

Your experience includes a guided snowshoe tour led by an ACMG-certified Hiking Guide, along with exclusive access to a Selkirk Saunas wood-fired sauna for up to 3 hours after your walk. You’ll explore scenic winter trails while learning about the local landscape, wildlife, and winter ecology. After the tour, the sauna will be waiting for you, warmed up and ready. We will share the location of the sauna with you before your trip but it will be parked and set up for you within a 10-minute driving distance of downtown Revelstoke.

Upon arrival at the sauna location, you will need to sign waivers and will be shown how to properly use the sauna.

What’s Not Included

Personal snowshoeing gear, water, and transportation to the snowshoe trail and sauna location are not included. Snowshoe rentals are available for an additional cost, and we would be happy to help organize these for you. BYOB (bathing suit) and towel for the sauna portion of the experience - and don't forget a water bottle!

What to Bring

To stay comfortable, bring a water bottle, sunglasses, and warm winter clothing, including a toque and insulated footwear. For the sauna, please bring a swimsuit, a towel, and a dry layer to change into afterward. A camera or phone is great for capturing the snowy scenery. If you require any personal medications while out on the tour, please be sure to have them with you.

Safety Equipment

Your guide will carry a first aid kit, an emergency communication device, and guest emergency contact information. They will also have an equipment repair kit, as well as hand and toe warmers to help keep everyone comfortable in cold conditions.

Recommended Gear & Clothing

A small backpack is useful for carrying your essentials while on the tour. To stay warm on the trail, dress in layers. An insulated jacket and pants, a fleece mid-layer, and long underwear work well. A toque or balaclava helps retain heat, while light gloves offer dexterity and warm mitts provide extra protection in colder temperatures. Don’t forget warm, cozy layers to keep you nice and warm after the sauna.

Booking Your Trip

Your credit card will not be charged at the time of booking. First, you’ll select your date, provide some basic information, and enter your payment details. I will then reach out by email to go over the details. Once we’ve confirmed the plan together, I will charge your card. This way, you don’t have to commit to payment until everything is set!

*Please note that this trip is subject to sauna availability. After you book the trip, we will confirm the availability of the sauna before charging your credit card. If it is not available you will receive a full refund.
